Excellence in everything we do . . . it has been one of Arborist Now’s core values since its founding in 2008. San Francisco’s residents consider us as the premier tree care company in the Greater Bay Area. Our level of expertise is second to none in all aspects of Urban Forestry. We train our professional arborists in the art and science of planting, caring for and maintaining trees in any environment.

There are primarily two types of professional arborists – Certified Arborists and Consulting Arborists. A Certified Arborist provides suitable tree care needs of most homeowners. They perform the work or direct a crew of technicians to do the work. Not every tree worker is a Certified Arborist, however.

Consulting Arborists are the respected experts on trees and provide an objective, comprehensive viewpoint to their clients—ensuring the safety, health, and preservation of trees. Consulting Arborists work with architects, developers, municipalities, utility providers, insurance companies, property managers, and lawyers to help them address challenges related to trees.

Arborist Now’s professional services provided by our Consulting Arborists include:

  • Contract Preparation and Supervision
  • Diagnosis of Tree and Landscape Problems
  • Expert Witness and Litigation
  • Environment Impact Report (EIR) Technical Study
  • Forensic Investigations
  • Tree Risk Assessments and Surveys
  • Tree Appraisals
  • Tree Valuations
  • Insect and Disease Identification and Management
  • Municipal Ordinance Development
  • Plant Health Care Programs

Again, What’s the Difference?

By definition, an “‘Arborist’, also known as a tree surgeon, or (less commonly) arboriculturist, is a professional in the practice of arboriculture, which is the cultivation, management, and study of individual trees, shrubs, vines, and other perennial woody plants in dendrology and horticulture.”

A Consulting Arborist does not perform the work.

Keep this distinction in mind that you are obtaining professional consulting advice, not contracting work.

At Arborist Now, our Consulting Arborists provide our clients with best management practices, recommendations for services, written proposals, and completion of transaction for care, preservation, and vitality of your trees.
